Submission Guidelines
- Quilted accepts submissions from both Irish and international writers of any background, including first-time writers.
- All submissions must be previously unpublished.
- For essays and short stories, we accept pieces up to 7,500 words.
- For poetry, we accept up to 3 pieces, no more than 5 pages in total.
- For flash fiction, we accept pieces up to 1,000 words.
- Writers can submit only one short story or one essay or one piece of flash fiction. Writers can submit up to 3 poems, as long as it is within the 5 pages. Please submit to only one category.
- Submission must be submitted in one .doc or .docs attachment. Prose submissions should be double spaced. The writer's name should not appear anywhere on the attachment. Documents containing the writer's name will not be considered.
- Please include a 50 word third person biography in the body of the email, along with the word count of the piece, the category, and the author's name.
- Please title the document as 'Category_Title', for example 'Fiction_Nerves'.

- We are happy to consider simultaneous submissions but ask for you to please notify us if the piece has been accepted elsewhere.
- All submissions must be from writers 18+.
- AI-generated pieces will not be accepted.
- Please note, we are currently unable to offer feedback on unsuccessful submissions.
- Copyright of the work remains with the writers.
